Bratislava : from an extreme from another

Study of Bratislava the young capital of Slovakia facing the neo-liberal urban fabric since the beginning of 2000's. In my diploma thesis I tried to understand this new way of building the city, the political and the economical processes, the effects on the city and the reactions of the city itself. To explain this actual urban development, I analysed the two main types of cities present in Bratislava (the socialiste city and the neo-liberal city) and the transition processes from one model to its extreme opposite.

Bratislava, la jeune capitale slovaque est soumise depuis le début des années 2000 à une transformation urbaine radicale. L'étude réalisée explore le développement des idées néo-libérales poussées à l'extrême appliquées à l'urbanisme. Comment la ville se crée sans intervention de l'autorité publique? Quelles sont les conséquences sur une ville et son image de deux idéologies politiques et urbaines, successives et opposées à l'extrême.
